There is more to explore in Utah. In fact, there is more National Park, National Forest and National Monument land in Utah than in any state other than Alaska (and maybe California).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though I travel the world, as a diplomat, I always end up coming back to Utah, so, while I have not had the opportunity to explore it as deeply as I have some other places, I’ve done a bit of exploring in Utah and I have some of that in this blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Southern Utah is the home of five National Parks, seven National Monuments, and some 17 State Parks. Many of these places, such as Arches National Park, Natural Bridges National Monument, and Canyonlands National Park are unique and world famous. Northern Utah may be most famous for its ski resorts, but it has a lot more than skiing on offer. The hiking, camping, and fishing in the High Uintas and other National Forest and Wilderness areas is spectacular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
